Fourth International Distributed Conference

The fourth international distributed conference will be held in Madrid, Spain, on 22 and 23 September 1999 under the topic 'Networking for new ways of work'.
The conference is supported by the European Commission under the Fifth Framework Programme, with the intention of increasing access to the virtual world.
The forum intends to make use of heterogeneous networks (ATM, satellite, ISDN and Internet) to interconnect global networks and show how interoperability can become a reality. New projects in the IST programme will be presented to the conference, and there will be a joint session with TELEWORK '99.
