The seventh International Multimedia Conference of the Association for Computing Machinery will be held in Orlando, Florida, from 30 October to 5 November 1999.

Recent technological and artistic advancements and innovations in all fields of multimedia computing and networking will be presented to researchers, developers, educators, artists and practitioners.

The technical programme includes a range of current research topics in multimedia technology divided into three areas: multimedia processing and coding; multimedia systems support and delivery; and multimedia tools, end-systems and applications. Two keynote addresses will be given, the first describing the latest work in Internet protocols for large scale multimedia networking, and the second presenting an insider's view of multimedia technology used in theme park design.

Prior to the conference are two days of half and full day tutorials on a variety of research and practice topics, presented by experts in the given subject area. There will also be a one-day doctoral symposium bringing together doctoral students in the early stages of their research and senior researchers to discuss research problems and approaches.
