BIOSTRUCT-X workshop explores protein crystal structures

The BIOSTRUCT-X project is hosting a workshop on Ensemble Refinement of Protein Crystal Structures at the Institute of Chemical and Biological Technology (ITBQ) in Oeiras, Portugal between 31 January and 2 February 2016.

During the first two days, the programme will consist of lectures in the mornings and tutorials and practical sessions in the afternoons. The final morning will be dedicated to finalising tutorials as well as a roundtable discussion with the workshop speakers.

The event is mainly directed at PhD students and young Post-Doctoral researchers who are already experienced in macromolecular crystallography and who want to learn more about X-ray protein structural refinement for their own projects. However, more experienced researchers are also invited to attend.

The BIOSTRUCT-X consortium is concerned with research into structural biology using high brilliance X-rays.
