Food facts go under scrutiny in Portugal

The distinctive nature of the application of magnetic resonance techniques to food science will be addressed at the fifth international conference of applications of food science from 18 to 20 September 2000 in Aveiro, Portugal.

The conference aims to present the latest news in the subject and supply an international forum for discussion and exchange of ideas. The meeting will cover applications in both research and funding.

The programme will consist of plenary lectures (50 min) and contributed communications (20 min), as well as several poster sessions. These will cover a range of topics including a view toward the next century, food safety and health, structure and dynamics, and analysis monitoring and authentication.
