Examining the role of biotechnology in environmental protection and security

The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) will participate in a seminar examining the role that biotechnology and GM (genetically modified) research can play in promoting environmental protection and security in industry in Berlin on 15 November.
The event will include sessions on possibilities for replacing chemical procedures with biotechnology, biotechnology and industrial production, German and international activities in this field and legislation concerning the implementation of biotechnological alternatives.For further information, please contact:
