Two prominent Italian scientists will deliver their visions on neuroscience as part of Europalia Italia 2003, in Brussels before the end of the year.

Professor Edoardo Boncinelli, who was among the first to grasp the significance of discoveries on the genetic control of drosophila in 1985, and to apply them to the study of mammals and humans, will take part in the 'brain and mind' conference on 12 November.

Nobel Laureate Rita Levi-Montacini will discuss neuroscience in the third Millennium on 9 December. Ms Levi-Montalcini was awarded the Nobel Prize for medicine in 1986 for her discovery of the nervous growth factor in 1953.For further information, please contact:
