Discussion forum on regions and the Lisbon objectives

A discussion forum on 'the regional perspective as a cornerstone of the Lisbon strategy', organised by the Stuttgart region, will take place in Brussels, Belgium, on 5 April.
The event will address research, innovation and governance, and aims to contribute to the debate on the orientation of European structural and research policies.
EU Research Commissioner Philippe Busquin will attend the event, along with Heinz Zourek, Deputy Director General of the Commission's Enterprise DG. Panellists include Ezio Andreta, Director for industrial technologies in the Commission's Research DG, as well as representatives from industry and regions across Europe.
