A training course on lightweight design of aircraft structures will take place from 18 to 22 September in Hamburg, Germany.

The objective is to provide specific training for advanced work within the important area of lightweight design, especially aircraft structures. Certification and economic aspects will also be considered.

The course is intended for graduate engineers, equivalent professionals and managers. It is assumed that the participants are generally familiar with the topics of lightweight design. It is likewise suitable for specialists in search of a broader perspective, and for junior experts in this field.

The training module is organised by the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg (HAW), as part of the EUROpean Professional Aerospace Development Scheme (EUROPADS). This is a pilot project financed by the European Commission under the Leonardo Da Vinci programme, providing training to engineers and technical managers within the European aerospace industry. The project involves universities and leading aerospace companies from six countries.For more information, please visit:
