A workshop on the 'Health', 'Food, agriculture and biotechnology' and 'Environment' themes of the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) will take place on 18 January in Namur, Belgium.

Representatives from the European Commission's Research Directorate General will answer questions on the following topics:
- the financial aspects of FP7;
- rules for project submission;
- project evaluation
- details of the first calls in the 'Food, agriculture and biotechnology', 'Health' and 'Environment' work programmes.

The event will also include a presentation of the activities of Detect-It 2, an EU funded project which provides free assistance to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) get involved in European research projects.

The event is being organised by the National Contact Point (NCP) in the Belgian region of Wallonia, the Agrobiopôle pole of excellence and Detect-It 2 project partner.For more information, please visit:
