European workshop on gender equity in scientific research

'Mind the Gap 2007', a European workshop on gender equity in scientific research, will be held on 28 June 2007 in the Padano Technology Park in Lodi, Italy.
The aim of the event is to highlight the 'gaps' of opportunities that are still hampering women's careers, and to disseminate the results of the measures being carried out in the international scientific context.
The programme includes a session on EU policy for gender equity in research, with a specific focus on the Gender Action Plans (GAPs) that the Park is carrying out within two large European research networks. There will also be a round-table discussion featuring representatives from scientific, sociological and industrial research.
The workshop is aimed at all actors in science, from young researchers to managers of political and strategic decisions.For more information, please visit:
