The Delegation of the European Commission in Egypt and the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research are organising information days at three Egyptian universities from 20 to 22 October.

The European Commission offers a number of opportunities for Egyptian researchers wishing to do research in Europe under the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). To raise awareness of these opportunities, a delegation from the European Commission in Cairo and Brussels will visit three Egyptian universities in Cairo (20 October), Alexandria (21 October) and Assuit (22 October) for information sessions on the People programme schemes, namely the Marie Curie Actions. In particular, the sessions will address the following actions:
- Marie Curie International Research Staff Exchange Scheme (IRSES);
- Marie Curie International Incoming Fellowships (IIF);
- Marie Curie Initial Training Networks (ITN);
- Marie Curie Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways (IAAP);
- European Mobility Portals (EURAXESS, Study in Europe).

The Research Development and Innovation Programme (RDI) is another European Commission programme that aims to support research and innovation capacity in Egypt. It does this by strengthening the link between European and Egyptian researchers, promoting participation in FP7, including mobility actions, and linking research and industry to ensure the application of research results.For further information, please visit:
