A congress on e-skills and information and communication technology (ICT) in knowledge and learning will take place in Darmstadt, Germany, on 6 and 7 November.
Under the title 'iTEC08- your technology hotspot', the event will focus on the European Commission's e-skills strategy, offering to participants a technological and regulatory outlook at what is at stake. A range of other issues and themes will be covered, providing inspiring insights into the digital world.
In a parallel session, the European Regional Information Society Association (eris@) will address the following areas:
- regional best practice: lessons learnt from the EU project IANIS+;
- transformative uses of ICT;
- digital ecosystems and regional development.
