Workshop on inter- and transdisciplinary research on sustainable resource use, Leipzig, Germany
Composed of talks, working groups and seminars, the workshop aims to promote discussion on essential elements of efficient inter- and transdisciplinary research and to learn about suitable tools and methods for its management. This will be done on the basis of a theoretical approach, but will also be illustrated by examples and case studies from research in the field of sustainable resource use.
Keynote talks will address the following topics:
- 'Basic understanding and criteria of transdisciplinary research';
- 'Science and politics in transdisciplinary research';
- 'Transdisciplinary research in theory and practice - case studies from socio-economic biodiversity research'.
The workshop is open to up to 40 early-stage scientists (e.g. advanced PhD students or postdocs) and senior scientists as well as members of development organisations working in the area of sustainable resource use.For further information, please visit:
