MAC-Oils final project conference, Rome, Italy
The MAC-Oils consortium will present results obtained in the course the two-year comparative assessment of the chemical composition, safety, nutritional and sensory qualities, environmental impact, production and manufacturing methods of eight target oils (olive, peanut, sunflower, corn, argan, soybean, rice bran and rapeseed).
Sessions will look into the following topics:
- oil crop cultivation;
- ethnobotany, biodiversity and the spread of edible oil crops;
- oil extraction, conservation and packaging;
- physiochemical properties of oils;
- sensory properties and consumer acceptance of oils;
