SusChem, the European Technology Platform for Sustainable Chemistry, will be holding its seventh stakeholder workshop in Prague, Czech Republic, on 3 February.
Under the title 'Stimulating innovation through sustainable chemistry', the workshop will examine how SusChem's European research can be efficiently translated into successful European business. SusChem is now working to promote and extend its activities beyond research and development into innovation initiatives, and looking to deepen industry-academia interaction and collaborative innovation.
In parallel sessions, three important questions for the future of SusChem innovation initiatives will be discussed:
- What is required for SusChem to play an effective role in stimulating innovation implementation in the European chemical industry?
- How can intellectual property rights (IPR) in innovation implementation be addressed?
- What are the critical skills needed for innovation in the European chemical industry?
