Cell polarity and vesicle sorting are fundamental biological processes that impact stem cell function, cancer, bacterial and viral infections, developmental defects and neurological diseases. A wide range of topics also connect polarity with membrane transport.
Computational modelling, high throughput screens and revolutionary imaging technologies in multiple model organisms are being applied to these areas and will have a major impact in the future.
