The Science and Technology Options Assessment Committee (STOA) of the European Parliament and the French Institute of Scientific Research for Development (IRD) are jointly hosting a conference in Brussels, Belgium on 4 March.

The conference will centre on the question of the role of cooperation between the EU and developing countries in the field of science and technology and the socio-economic development of developing countries.

Science, technology and innovation play a crucial role in achieving sustainable development and fighting poverty.
