The GLOBALDIV project will hold a workshop on livestock biodiversity and conservation in Bydgoszcz, Poland, on 18 and 19 March.

The workshop is organised in four sessions. The first is dedicated to the review of present and future EU initiatives in FANGR ('Farm animal genetic resources') conservation. The second will examine new challenges to be faced by the livestock sector in the near future. The third will look at the present state of the art of technologies and strategies for FANGR characterisation and conservation; while fourth will cover novel and forthcoming technical opportunities.

GLOBALDIV is a 3-year project funded as part of the European Commission's Agriculture and Genetic Resources (AGRI GEN RES) initiative. It aims to promote the formation of international interdisciplinary groups of experts in the field of FANGR.For further information, please visit:
