The European Week of Astronomy and Space Science (EWASS) will take place from 20 to 23 April in Hatfield, UK.

Combining the 2009 Royal Astronomical Society National Astronomy Meeting (NAM 2009) and the European Astronomical Society Joint Meeting (JENAM 2009), the event will unite more than 1,000 astronomers and space scientists. New research in many aspects of astronomy and space science will be presented, including the formation of planets around other stars, the coming generation of large telescopes, forthcoming missions in the solar system, cosmology and gravitational waves and lenses.

EWASS is held in conjunction with the UK Solar Physics (UKSP) and Magnetosphere Ionosphere and Solar-Terrestrial Physics (MIST) meetings. The conference includes scientific sessions organised by the European Organisation for Astronomical Research in the Southern Hemisphere (ESO) and the European Space Agency (ESA).For further information, please visit:
