The 14th International Forum on Advanced Microsystems for Automotive Applications (AMAA) will be held on 10 and 11 May in Berlin, Germany, under the title 'Smart systems for green cars and safe mobility'.

During the two-day scientific and technical conference, the latest research and novel developments in the field of information and communication technology (ICT) components and systems enabling the automobile and road transport of the future will be presented.

Discussions at the conference will particularly focus on the application areas, including:
- electrified vehicles - smart management and routing of energy and power, adaptive control of electric motors and drives, power grid connection of electric vehicles, balancing and health control of battery cells, telematics for optimised car use;
- road and passenger safety - pedestrian recognition, intersection control, lane departure warning, stability control, detection of surface and pavement conditions, night vision, driver condition monitoring, redundant systems for vehicle control and emergency shutdown;
- driver assistance - autonomous handling of routine driving conditions, driver information on traffic, intelligent speed adaptation, sensing of driver intentions;
- traffic management - car-to-car/car-to-X communication, road network monitoring, environmental zone access management, incident and weather detection, dynamic routing, travel times prediction, multi-mode travel advice;
- power train efficiency - optimised system integration, advanced injection and closed-loop control of the combustion process, smart control of auxiliaries, waste heat recovery, eco-driving, driver training.

A series of satellite meetings, such as the working group meetings of the European Technology Platform on Smart Systems Integration, will compliment the conference.For further information, please visit:
