'European symposium on research in computer security', Leuven, Belgium
In general, computer security is concerned with the protection of information in environments where there is a possibility of intrusion or malicious action. As technology has grown increasingly complex and the interchange of data has grown in importance, security has taken on a greater role and significance.
The aim of the conference is to further the progress of research in computer security by establishing a European forum for bringing together researchers in this area. The event also seeks to promote the exchange of ideas with system developers and by encouraging links with researchers in related areas.
Topics that are set to be covered range from access control and applied cryptography, intrusion detection, formal security methods, language-based security, trust models and wireless security. A series of related workshops are being planned for the same time period as the symposium. For further information, please visit: http://www.cosic.esat.kuleuven.be/esorics2011/(opens in new window)
