Second International Conference on Health Information Science, London, UK
Medical technology has advanced rapidly over the past ten years - from robotics and laparoscopic surgery to drug-coated stents -with a focus on improved quality, safety and efficiency of healthcare systems for all patients. However, relatively few healthcare providers have fully adopted IT. This moderate success is due partly to the complexity of investment in IT, which goes beyond acquiring technology as it involves substantial changes in work processes and habits.
The event will address computer science and information technology applied to health services. It promotes the use of information science research coupled with the modelling, design, development, integration, and management of health information systems. For further information, please click: http://www.his2013.org/index.html(opens in new window)
