The 71st International Conference of Agricultural Engineering will be held from 8 to 9 November 2013 in Hannover, Germany.

One of the main challenges faced in agriculture is the need to double world food production by 2050. This is essential to cater for a growing population in the face of climate change (loss of biodiversity, deteriorating soil and water quality). There are about 12 million full-time farmers within the EU-27. European policy makers have recently set reform proposals with an emphasis on sustainable farming practices, innovation, research and the spread of knowledge - as well as a fairer support system for European farmers to help them meet the challenges of tomorrow.

Within this context, the conference will focus on "Components and Systems for Better Solutions", underlying the importance of suppliers in machine development and manufacturing processes. The aim is to increase productivity and efficiency in a sustainable manner.

The event will be a platform to discuss some of the most recent technical solutions from research as well as product development in light of the AGRITECHNICA conference.For further information, please visit:
