Fluorescence spectroscopy is a type of electromagnetic spectroscopy which analyzes fluorescence from a sample. It involves using a beam of light, usually ultraviolet light, that excites the electrons in molecules of certain compounds and causes them to emit light; typically, but not necessarily, visible light. It has become is a valuable tool for studying the complex nature of dissolved organic matter.
The workshop will present new and effective approaches for analyzing environmental data. It seeks to present new trends and recent advancements in the characterization of dissolved organic matter (DOM) in marine and inland waters using spectroscopic techniques coupled with advanced signal and image processing tools. It will also be a networking forum for both the signal processing community and the environmental organic matter community.For further information, please visit:
