The Seventh International Conference Innovative Solutions for Revitalisation of Degraded Areas will be held from 2 to 4 October 2013 in Ustron, Poland.

Water degradation is a priority issue in Europe. Despite ongoing actions resulting from the Water Framework Directive, it is estimated that only for about 53% of surface waters in the European Union will be reaching 'good ecological status' by 2015.

The conference covers all revitalization aspects of degraded areas, with this year's edition putting particular emphasis on the protection and revitalisation of surface waters and ground waters. This encompasses innovative methods, technologies and tools to support aquatic ecosystem rehabilitation.

State and private organizations, as well as local governments involved in the process of revitalization of degraded areas, are expected to attend along with site owners, companies dealing with soil and groundwater remediation and land reclamation, construction companies, academia, R&D units, experts, consultants, financial institutions, and insurance companies from Poland and abroad.For further information, please visit:
