Yeast genome sequencing network

The final EU conference on the "Yeast genome sequencing network" will take place in Trieste, Italy, from 25 to 28 September 1996. It is organized by the Italian ICGEB Microbiology Group, with support from DG XII of the European Commission.
The conference will examine the European yeast sequencing project. Topics will include yeast genome analysis, sequencing of other genomes, yeast functional analysis, and the impact on higher Eukaryotic genomes. Non-EU yeast sequencing projects will also be examined.
A round table will discuss the industrial, legislative, social and ethical aspects of yeast genome sequencing, including international collaboration in the field.
