IDT'97 and NET'97 - Electronic information exhibitions

IDT'97, the 14th electronic information fair and NET'97, the first Internet and intranet fair will be held in Paris, France, from 3 to 5 June 1997.

IDT'97 will be the largest exhibition in France dedicated to on-line business information. Over 160 exhibitors, including databank producers, publishers and distributors, service providers, equipment suppliers and institutional organizations, will display their products and services. The IDT Conference, which will take place in parallel to the exhibition, will have workshops and presentations on a variety of topics including:

- Internet;
- Economic intelligence;
- Internal information networks;
- Release of public data;
- Restructuring of the information market;
- Professional practices and recognition of expertise;
- Legal and third-party liability.

NET'97 will display the entire range of Internet services for professional Internet and intranet users. Participants will be able to meet:

- Systems developers specialized in Internet/intranet engineering and advertising communications;
- Web service hosts/developers;
- Access providers;
- Dedicated hardware suppliers.

In addition to the exhibition, NET'97 will also feature a conference where participants will hear about the latest developments in Internet/intranet services and technologies.

CORDIS, the European Community's R&D Information Service, will be one of the exhibitors displaying on-line information products at IDT'97. Visitors to the CORDIS stand will be able to see the latest developments in the CORDIS product range. In particular, visitors will see at first hand the wealth of information available on the rapidly growing CORDIS WWW site.
