Ninth International Symposium on Applications of Laser Techniques to Fluid Mechanics

The Ninth International Symposium on Applications of Laser Techniques to Fluid Mechanics will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, from 13 to 16 July 1998.

The symposium will present new research on advanced techniques for flow measurement and results of significance to fluid mechanics. It will emphasize the application of laser and other advanced techniques to scientific and engineering investigations of fluid flow.

Contributions to the theory and practice of measurement methods will be accepted where they facilitate new improved fluid mechanical investigations, and may include laser-Doppler anemometry, phase-Doppler anemometry, particle image velocimetry and laser induced fluorescence. Non-optical techniques that provide new and reliable information on fluid flows, heat and mass transfer are also welcome.
