SYNERGY is a cooperation programme managed by the European Commission, DG XVII, which finances activities with non-EU countries in the field of energy policy. The objectives of the programme are to improve the competitiveness of Community industry, enhance the security of energy supply and promote sustainable development through the improvement of energy efficiency. A review presenting some of the most important projects implemented and achieved through SYNERGY is now available on the Internet. The review is set out by region in which projects have been carried out, as follows: - Asia; - Central and Eastern Europe; - Commonwealth of Independent States; - Latin America; - Southern and Eastern Mediterranean; - Multi-regional projects.
