Development and prevalidation of in vitro assays to predict problem platelets
The European Commission's Joint Research Centre is seeking tenders for the development and prevalidation of in vitro assays for the prediction of thrombocytopenia The goal is to promote the scientific and regulatory acceptance of alternative methods which are important to the biosciences and which reduce, refine or replace the use of laboratory animals. A current priority is to evaluate the relevance and reliability of tests to predict the toxicity of blood - forming systems to safeguard the health of the individual citizen by improving the understanding of the risks posed by drugs, chemicals and products of various kinds.
