Technicians will soon be required to work on the SIAP project, (Système d'information et d'analyse de la pêche), a consultative initiative to the government of Guinea, run by the Marine Environment Unit of the Commission's Joint Research Centre, Space Applications Institute. Assistance will be needed in the following areas: - Technical assistance in organising and preparing workshops, training courses and, meetings in Europe and Africa; - Obtaining hardware and software; - Managing the implementation of these activities. The invitation to tender concerning this project is expected to be published between September and December of 1999.
