TICQA includes Eastern European countries
TICQA, the European information services for conformity assessment activities, is extending its reach to include conformity assessment operators from central and eastern European countries. The service, run by the European Organisation for Conformity Assessment (EOTC), will include Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovenia, Estonia, Bulgaria, Latvia, Romania, Lithuania and Slovakia. The TICQA extension is aimed to collect and provide information on conformity assessment operators and providers of services such as calibration, testing, inspection, and certification of products, of personnel and of quality systems, located within these countries. According to the EOTC, what makes TICQA unique is its coverage of a wide range of conformity assessment activities and full European coverage in all sectors of activity. It includes details on over 22,000 conformity assessment services and is currently being expanded. It also provides access to instant information on over 2,900 European Conformity Assessment Activities providers.
