TEN-Telecom - advance notice of call
The European Union's trans-European telecommunications networks (TEN-Telecom) initiative has published an advance notice of a call for proposals. At the beginning of March 2000 the Commission expects to publish the next call for proposals, in the areas of trans-European generic telecommunications services (Internet-based services, e-commerce support services, multimedia support services, support to mobility), and trans-European telecommunications applications (education and training, access to Europe's cultural heritage, services for SMEs, environment and emergency, health, city and regional information networks, new work methods). The call will remain open until the end of June 2000 when proposals will be evaluated. Contracts with projects retained for funding will be signed in December and project execution will begin in January 2001.
