Call: proposals in the field of embedded systems
The ARTEMIS Joint Undertaking (JU) has published its second call for proposals under the ARTEMIS Annual Work Programme for 2009. ARTEMIS ('Advanced research and technology for embedded intelligence and systems') is co-funded by the European Union, Member States and industry. Embedded systems technologies are deployed in all relevant market sectors in Europe. Consequently, they have a major impact on the way these sectors work and collaborate, how they will develop, how they are perceived by both professionals and the public, and how successful their products will be on the world market. The ARTEMIS JU strategy is conceived to overcome fragmentation in the embedded systems markets so as to increase the efficiency of technological development and, at the same time, facilitate the establishment of a competitive market in the supply of embedded systems technologies.
