The Council proceeded at its session of 29 April 1992 (Research) to the adoption of the centralized action for the dissemination and exploitation of knowledge resulting from the specific programmes of research and technological development. On this basis, the Council Decision will be formally established after preparation of the final text. A total budgetary appropriation of ECU 57 million (levied from the appropriations for the specific programmes) is estimated necessary for implementation of the centralized action, which shall ensure overall coordination and cohesion in the field covered by the third Framework Programme. It continues and expands actions undertaken by the VALUE programme, while introducing new topics related particularly to RTD repercussions and results in terms of society as a whole.
