STRATEGIES FOR THE USE OF TELEMATICS TECHNOLOGIES, SYSTEMS AND SERVICES, WITH CONTRIBUTION TO THE DEFINITION OF COMMON FUNCTIONAL SPECIFICATIONS.

This part of the planned work concerns the development of the strategies needed to put information technologies in place in health care. Two types of work are involved. The first identifies user needs, safeguards, and criteria which influence the use of all new technology in health care. The second harmonises information content and exchange procedures and develops common functional specifications. This work is intended to influence future developments in the long and shorter term, and most of it to affects work across a range of the technical subjects in parts II and III.
