Catalytic control of fuel properties for large VHBR engines

 

The current proposal is aimed at understanding & developing key technologies for increasing the heat sink potential of fuel (de-oxygenation, use of fuel additives, and fuel filtration via catalysts, sorbents and membranes). These key technologies are critical to the successful realisation of oil lubrication and heat management systems for future large gearedenginesin WP6 of Engine ITD.
