Objective
PANDA aims to speed up the integration process in the European ERP/CRM industry, by developing an advanced set of conceptual components and e-services dedicated to:
(i) address current inefficiencies in the ERP/CRM value chain (ERP/CRM vendors, national representatives, consultants / dealers and end customers),
(ii) facilitate efficient value chain operations and
(iii) broaden opportunities for international e-collaborations (European clusters in ERP/CRM industry). PANDA's outcome will be an advanced B2B web-platform dedicated on serving the international value chain operations of the European ERP/CRM industry.
To do so, PANDA will introduce the powerful notion of Request-Based Virtual Organisations (RBVOs) driven by the use of an innovative generation of sector specific Service Level Agreements (SLAs). RBVOs (flexible clusters reflecting the international ERP/CRM value chain) and SLAs (the regulating framework, among value chain members, for RBVOs operations) will be served by a community of Intelligent Agents (Multi-Agent System) that will be developed to orchestrate and automate SLAs empowerment and RBVO operations in a predefined, standardized and automatically generated manner. PANDA's components will be developed and integrated in a prototype web-platform. Prototype testing and validation will take advantage of PANDA's two large international `informal' clusters currently involving 2 ERP/CRM vendors, 200 ERP/CRM national reps and dealers, 50 IT consultants and 40.000 end customers in 7 European countries.
The prototype's assessment will follow, based on a set of business, technological and operational metrics, while in parallel the deployment of a variety of dissemination and exploitation actions will target to spread knowledge on PANDA's activities and results through out the European ERP/CRM industry. PANDA tasks will be fulfilled in 30 months by a multidisciplinary consortium consisted of 12 key European academic and industrial partners from 9 countries.
