Citizen Frugal Innovation guideline (opens in new window)A guideline report will be prepared based on the project results that will be accessible under Creative Commons license. This report will include a checklist, relevant figures, and structured text based on FRANCIS research. It will have examples of what has been done, and how the different resources used in those examples can be used in different contexts.

Participating data (input for guideline) (opens in new window)This report will present key statistics on challenge participation such as the background and the number of the participants, their type of involvement (Participant vs. Supporter) and the number of their online interactions with facilitators, buddies and mentors. In addition, the report will capture lessons learned on platform design and use for future Citizen Frugal Innovation challenges.
Toolbox update (input for guideline) (opens in new window)An update of the toolbox will be included in the guideline that is published at the end of the project.
Each challenge will deliver at least five Frugal Innovation concepts supported by a prototype and a draft business model. Three of these concepts will receive funding for their commercialization after the end of the challenge.
The DMP describes the data management life cycle for the data collected processed andor generated by the project The deliverable will evolve during the project lifetime The DMP will include the selection of a suitable data repository
The challenge is live; citizens can now register on the platform, present their idea on it and profit from IT support as well as scientific facilitation and industry coaching.
Challenge material and CFI toolbox (opens in new window)The material created in Task 3.1 informs citizens about Frugal Innovation and FRANCIS challenges. The toolbox includes training on relevant methods, illustrations of method flows, case studies and templates. The second challenge will start with an updated version of the material and the toolbox.
Platform training (opens in new window)The main properties such as platform settings, corporate design and content have been set up on the public landing page. The training will first be delivered to administrators, facilitators, students and industry coaches (online and during plenary meetings), then to challenge participants (online and during challenge phase 1 events), supported by the students (challenge buddies).
The social media channels used by FRANCIS will be ready in month 3 The project website will present the project objectives partners and activities It will go online in month 3 Regular updates will keep it up to date until the end of the project and beyond
