Deliverables
The report will offer the final outcomes of the assessment and the extended matrix.
Research Methodology and Plan (opens in new window)This document will provide the scientific guidelines and overall approach to the research activities describing the procedures and techniques that will help the project to identify and analyze the needed information about the successful design of outofschool science activities
Report on Communication and Dissemination Activities (opens in new window)Report containing the updated dissemination plan for the second half of the project and detailing the dissemination and communication activities and events of the reporting period and tools and measures of their success including the Surrounded by Science community
Inventory of Activities (opens in new window)Inventory of Activities and Selected Case Studies This inventory will be an overview database of identified outofschool science activities that can be sorted by the category and type of activity and their location
Initial Impact Assessment Report and Selected Best Practices (opens in new window)In this deliverable, a description of the evaluation of case studies and the input for the extended Surrounded by Science matrices will be given. (including nature and effects of activities within all categories of activities).
Towards a connected science learning ecosystem (opens in new window)This document will present the outcomes of the proof of concepts experiments related to the contributions of out-of-school science education to formal education.
2nd short policy brief (opens in new window)This will be a short document (around 2 pages). The introduction will be pre-filled by EC and will be based on the Work Programme topic description (challenge and impact). In the various sections will described how the project is answering this challenge/realising the expected impact.
Plan for the Communication and Dissemination of Results (opens in new window)Comprehensive plan outlining the dissemination and communication strategy planning activities and events and measurements criteria
Conceptual Design of the Science Booster app (opens in new window)Backend Infrastructure: This deliverable includes the central data storage and the web-based front end to manage and fill the central data storage with the information needed by the Science Chaser and the Science Booster. As both interfaces will be offered in several languages, the needed content can be entered in multiple languages. The infrastructure will be updated to incorporate the additional features and developments of the two interfaces in the two implementation phases of the research (phase 2 and phase 3 in Figure 1.3.5). Final version at the end of the project M36
Communication and Dissemination Materials (opens in new window)Dissemination materials to be developed and used by the consortium over the course of the project Examples of such material are the Surrounded by Science brochure the factsheet and the newsletter template M6
Research Implementation Plan (opens in new window)This document will provide the plan to guide the research implementation in each country It will detail the responsibilities of the national coordinators and organizes the overall work
Roadmap for Designing Effective out-of-school Science Activities (opens in new window)The key publication of the project describing the main steps and provisions for the development of innovative out-of-school learning activities. M36
Conceptual Design of the Science Chaser app (opens in new window)Conceptual Design and Requirements of the Digital Toolbox This deliverable describes the conceptual design including Task Analysis and Possible Scenarios of Use of the Digital Toolbox
Initial Implementation Plan (opens in new window)The Initial Implementation Report will report the activities implemented for each case study in each country in the first months of the implementation. M24
Final Implementation Report (opens in new window)The Final Implementation Report will report the activities implemented for each case study in each country at the end of the project.
Quality Management Plan (opens in new window)Context Analysis and Considerations for the Accreditation Scheme (opens in new window)
Surrounded by Science research has been designed to contribute to the development of an accreditation scheme for out-of-school science education, at least for programmes that are designed with specific participants’ learning outcomes in mind. The project will describe the context and the necessity of such a scheme, not only for the support and recognition of the out-of-school learning organisations but also for the support of the current educational policies, at EU level. M36
Impact Assessment Methodology & Instruments (opens in new window)This document will provide the methodology and instruments that will assess the case studies
Final report on Communication and Dissemination Activities (opens in new window)Final report containing the dissemination and communication activities and events of the project and tools and measures of their success, including the Surrounded by Science community.
Exploitation Plan (opens in new window)The exploitation plan of the project will describe the measures and the actions of the consortium to sustain the use of the project apps to the target groups and to inform the policy makers for the project work and roadmap documentations.
1st short policy brief (opens in new window)This will be a short document around 2 pages The introduction will be prefilled by EC and will be based on the Work Programme topic description challenge and impact In the various sections will described how the project is answering this challengerealising the expected impact
Surrounded by Science Key Characteristics and Matrices (opens in new window)The Surrounded by Science Matrices will summarize the key characteristics of successful outofschool science activities in the three main categories
D3.3 (First Release) and D3.4 (Final Release) Development of the Science Chaser: The release of the Science Chaser app is meant to be used in case studies. The final release of the Science chaser app will incorporate the improvement suggestions of the case studies and the features needed for the case studies. First Release M12, Final Release M36
Final release of the Science Booster app (opens in new window)Final release of the Science Booster: This deliverable includes the final release of the Science Booster app. The app will be developed to support the final implementation phase (starts on M24) and it will be adopted accordingly at the end of the project based on the feedback from its use in the different settings.
