MIBIREM – Toolbox for Microbiome based Remediation

API which can also be applied by users aiming to model individual processes (hydro/geo/bio/chemical) at contaminated sites to be part of the TOOLBOX (Output of Task 4.2).

First version of the policy brief to a) outline multi-actor and stakeholder views and feedback e.g. from site owners, environmental authorities on national and EU levels, and b) recommend actions to achieve societal impacts aimed by the project supported by its international network (output of Task 6.2).

The handbook will be set up by M6, will be used and improved during the project and will finally become part of the TOOLBOX (Output of Tasks 1.1, 1.3).

Guideline for safety assessment of microbiomes (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)

Guideline for evaluation of safety issues concerning microbiomes intended for further technical use cases. Transferable to other microbiomes outside the project (Output of Task 5.1).

First version of the handbook (output of Task 1.1).

MIBIREM Report: How to conduct regulatory review for soil bioremediation. (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)

An overview of regulatory requirements (on national and EU level) related to application of technologies. A “lessons learned” report built on the regulatory information from use cases to support remediation planning selection of applied technologies for different sites in different countries (part of TOOLBOX, (T6.1).

Metagenome and transcriptome of the six most promising microbiomes (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)

D2.3 provides metagenome and (SIP)-transcriptome datasets of six most promising microbiomes (T2.2, T2.3) and this information will be used to select the best microbiomes for the directed evolution (T2.5).

D2.1 Provides microbiome datasets (based on 16S rRNA analysis) enriched with analytical data (pollutant concentration data and degradation intermediates, redox parameters) of polluted field sites at the start of the remediation (T2.1), and from the pilots (T5.4). The data will be used as input for the prediction tool in WP4.

List of pollutant-degrading bacteria and their functional genes (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)

Provides a list of pollutant-degrading, and pollutant-tolerant bacteria isolated from enrichment cultures, microcosms (T2.2) and trapping devices (T2.3). The functional potential and genome sequences of a selection of these bacteria will be determined (WP3) and their safety assessed (WP5). Promising strains will be combined to generate artificial microbiomes for evolution experiments (T2.5).

DMP with templates for standard data formats, database description (output of Task 1.4).

Updated DMP (Output of Task 1.4).
