Improved transdisciplinary science for effective ecosystem-based maritime spatial planning and conservation in European Seas (MarinePlan)

CORDIS provides links to public deliverables and publications of HORIZON projects.

Links to deliverables and publications from FP7 projects, as well as links to some specific result types such as dataset and software, are dynamically retrieved from OpenAIRE .

Deliverables

Data Management Plan (opens in new window)

WP6 will oversee the implementation of the data management plan (D6.1), advance visualization tools (D6.2, D6.3) and facilitate the modelling of spatio-temporal connectivity metrics (D6.4).

Evaluation of EB-MSP and strategic conservation at Planning Sites: Overview, obstacles and knowledge gaps (opens in new window)

WP5 will produce an overview, knowledge gaps and recommendations for effective implementation of EB-MSP together with the achievement of the strategic conservation planning in European Seas (D5.1) and derive from planning scenarios lessons learned how to achieve 2030-30%-10% targets in the context of EB-MSP (WP3) and derive key action points to foster EB-MSP implementation in European Seas (D5.2).

Report on spatial distributions and temporal dynamics of metrics (opens in new window)
First annual report (opens in new window)

WP 7 will prepare annual reports to the Commission.

Systematic review and metaanalysis of current knowledge on systematic conservation planning accompanied by a database of the analysed papers (opens in new window)

WP3 will advance in the implementation of approaches for conservation planning (D3.1) and will guide the development of spatial planning scenarios and elaborate the trade-offs of planning options to deliver on the 2030-30%-10% target (D3.2).

Operational EB-MSP framework and guidance for practical implementation (opens in new window)

WP1 will frame the overall EB-MSP decision support system by developing EBMSP guidelines and identifying the data and knowledge needs for their implementation. The main output will be a flexible EB-MSP implementation process that will be applied and tested at Planning Sites (D1.1) and a best practice guidance (D1.2).

Report on the analysis of existing policies and institutions (opens in new window)
Report on EBSA metrics (opens in new window)

The scientific basis to define EBSAs, to be implemented in the designation of MPA networks, and connectivity criteria and metrics will be developed in WP2 with support of modelling tools developed and customised by WP6. Thereby WP2 will define the metrics (D2.1) for spatio-temporal quantification of conservation criteria. The results will be published in a report.
