The Executive Board (EB) will consist of a representative of 3 CoE partners. EB will establish the Scientific and Industry Advisory Boards (advises on research and innovation portfolios only). The Scientific and Industry Advisory Boards will agree on the plan of SAB, and IAB activities for the entire duration of the project.
Guide of premises & marketing brand manual (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)The facility and infrastructure desks manage the process of facility management as well as the administration of the overall building and office complex. A description of facilities, their purpose and their use will be elaborated (Guide of CoE premises & facilities). Under the overall marketing strategy and LIGNOSILVA corporate identity, the manual of uses of CoE graphic symbols on all types of facilities will be developed.
Workshops & Round tables with stakeholders (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)Targeted CoE events (2 workshops and 3 round tables) will be organised and focused on:- Presentation of the services, products and best practices from 8 demonstration cases (DC) and new knowledge from preparatory research projects (workshops).- The CoE business strategy and market uptake of innovative ideas and building a bridge to industry (round tables).Events will be organised in M7, M28 and M27.
Upgrated CoE Bussines Plan (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)Strategic planning: NFC and WKI will upgrade of CoE Business plan (from 2016) for the next 6 years. The business plan includes a strategic project plan, personnel management plan, financial plan, and sustainability plan. The business plan will be a framework for other planning documents (guides, manuals, roadmaps, programs, catalogues, specific IPR, market & business strategy and specific plans like procurement or infrastructure operation plan). WKI will assist with the project management and controlling processes that are vital for the success of the centre, coming out from the business plan and related documents.
Infrastructure operation plan and Prising framework for services (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)An infrastructural use plan will be provided for managing the CoE Large infrastructure (i.e. 3D CT scanner, Paper incubator), including promoting it within the Forest based industry network and developing tools/methods to measure benefits.A Costing & Pricing Framework for services offered by the CoE will be developed by accepted management accounting principles. This will ensure sustainable income to cover infrastructural maintenance.The update of the deliverable will be elaborated in M40.
Project procurement management plan (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)A Project Procurement Management Plan will be created ensuring that investments related to engineering equipment are enforceable and linked to the budget. A schedule of detailed preparation activities includes the Survey, Site Investigation, Preparation of Design Plans, Preparation of Technical Specifications, and Preparation of Quantity and Cost Estimates. Based on that, bidding documents will be prepared to provide prospective bidders with all the necessary information. All procurements will follow the Public Procurement Act No. 343/2015.
CoE Bio-based stakeholder forum report (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)CoE aims to strengthen synergies and coherence between research, innovation and policies related to the Forest-based bioeconomy at the regional, national and macro-regional levels of Central and Eastern Europe in the CoE priority areas. Interconnections will be discussed through the LignoSilva stakeholder forum, which includes: Research and educational organizations and universities; industrial and professional associations and clusters operating in FBS; Research funding agencies; NGOs; National and regional bodies of state administration and self-government.The conclusions of the forums (M14, M38, M66) will be used by the CoE bodies in formulating/reformulating the centre's scientific focus and activities toward the business environment. Stakeholder forums will be organized with the CoE scientific conference Bioeconomy Science-Business summit.
Implementation report 1 (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)The implementation report is a mandatory document for monitoring the progress of the project. The reports will contain details of the supplementary funding according to the prescribed template.Implementation Reports will be submitted at Month 18, Month 36, Month 54 and Month 72.
CoE Science-Business summit proceedings (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)Proceedings from the presentations of scientific results in the Bioeconomy Science-Business Summit will be issued in M17, M38 and M66.
Dissemination and exploitation plan (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)The partners established a systematic dissemination management process that checks and validates the progress of the dissemination & exploitation plan. The editorial & media team (ET) will be established. Every partner nominates one person to the team. It will (i) collect scientific papers from researchers, policy-related documents from the Desks and working groups, and outputs from the 8 DCs and outreach events. Based on these materials ET will (ii) create the content for defined media and channels, e.g. website articles and newsletters, information brochures, press, social media accounts etc. in English and Slovak.The first version of the plan for dissemination and exploitation will be prepared in M06. Updated version in M70.
Job catalogue, mobility and exchange program (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)Human Resources Management covers the acquisition of new experts to strengthen the current capacities of the CoE in both, (i) scientific realms and (ii) the CoE Front office. For both, catalogues of requirements on the professional skills and selection criteria will be developed and applied to hire new experts.Career paths development of CoE staff will be organised and applied through Mobility & Exchange program. Mobility costs are budgeted for CoE members for participation of the CoE experts in courses, conferences and workshops; Benchmarking and networking visits; Study missions and visits (inward and outward). Procedures will be defined and implemented by the Facility desk with the support of back-office services according to GUIDE of Joint Success (employee and employer).
Guide for Joint Success (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)The GUIDE of JOINT SUCCESS - GJS (employee and employer) will be elaborated with the aim to support structural changes leading to a modernized and more competitive R&I system. The CoE will use the expertise of the NFC (back-office services: Human resource management units, Project implementation unit, Legal department) and advanced partner to develop the behaviour stimulating innovation: Zero tolerance to faults from the CoE management; loyalty to CoE; Gender equality; Flexible work environment for the specific conditions of the CoE.GJS will include procedures for recruitment, evaluation and remuneration by EU standards and directives and measures for staff training policy, increasing qualifications and career development.
Manual of management (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)A management manual will be created. It will regulate the details of the organizational structure, activities and management of the unit, competence, and decision making.Further, the management manual provides a set of procedures and tools for administrative, contractual and day-to-day coordination, quality, conflict and risk management.
The demonstration case main objectives is to demonstrate the assets of 3D CT scanning and non-destructive wood testing through workshops, target visits, and practical training of foresters and wood processors. Actions will focus on virtual grading with the generation of the optimal sawing pattern to maximize revenues from the sale and wood processing. Through open calls for doctoral and postdoctoral fellows, the collaborative research and use of the unique 3D CT infrastructure as an open laboratory will be strengthened. The market products (Optimize your online cutting plan; Choose a log for auctions; Certify the supply of logs) will be developed and promoted.DC will be presented/demostrated continuously, and the progress of CSA activities will be summarized in M16, M36 and M70.Note: Deliverable is listed in the project proposal under number D5.2-1
The open bank of 3D CT scans of wood logs from different tree species (beech, oak, ash, linden, maple, spruce, pine) will be available for doctoral and postdoctoral CoE fellows. The open bank will also be the data source for MSc and PhD theses and collaborative research with universities.The first version of the open bank will be available in the 12th month, updated databank in M36.Note: Deliverable is listed in the project proposal under number D5.2-2
LignoSilva will present results through its flagship event: Centre of Excellence (CoE) Open Day. All infrastructure will be open and demonstrated to the students, the public and potential customers. Presentation and educational materials will be prepared, presented and disseminated.CoE Open Day will be organised in M16, M40 and M64.

The redesign and continual actualisation of the project website will be coordinated with all partners to address different target groups of LIGNOSILVA.
"The intention is to open the CoE research program to new ideas and international cooperation and to integrate new scientific personnel into the research projects. For this reason, ""preparatory research projects"" will be supported by issuing grants-based calls focusing on young scientists through the CoE Grant scheme. In cooperation with universities and secondary vocational schools operating, the Student Scientific Activity will be initiated and supported every year in the form of awards for the best works.The grant-based calls for young scientists will be open in the 12th., 24th, 36th and 48th months."
Data Management Plan: the aim is to make data „as open and re-usable as possible”. The data sharing will be implemented in three ways described in chapter 2.2 Strategy for knowledge management.The update of the deliverable will be elaborated in the 36th month.
