eurOpean platForm For accEssing nucleaR R&d facilities

Project description

Supporting the Sustainable Nuclear Energy Technology Platform

The Sustainable Nuclear Energy Technology Platform (SNETP) was established to aid research, development and deployment of European sustainable nuclear fission technologies. The platform focuses on the safe, reliable and efficient operation of Generation II, III and IV civil nuclear systems. The EU-funded OFFERR project will support the SNETP Association to create an operational scheme that facilitates access for research and development experts to key nuclear science infrastructures. OFFERR will achieve this via the channelling of financial grants provided by the Euratom Research and Training Programme, a complementary funding programme to Horizon Europe covering nuclear research and innovation.

Objective

The overarching objective of OFFER is to support the SNETP Association to establish an operational scheme facilitating access for R&D experts to key nuclear science infrastructures – hereinafter referred to as “User Facilities” – through the channelling of financial grants provided by the Euratom programme. The beneficiaries of the scheme will be, first, the User Facilities to be funded directly from the OFFERR project for their services provided to selected projects selected through OFFERR calls, and second, the research teams that have successfully applied through the calls and were allowed to use the User Facilities for their project purposes.

Keywords
