Based on the outcomes of the previous WPs, a number of concrete issues are selected (for instance, the influence of platforms over services of public interest (WP2) or the dependence of platform workers (WP5) for which targeted codes of conduct will be developed by transposing the general recommendations into more specific codes

Policy brief on negative externalities connected to Big Tech corporations' political activity and improve regulation of lobbying activity and effectiveness of the Transparency Register

D4.4 will (i) select the most salient issues regarding the negative externalities of Big-Tech political activity; (ii) describe the mechanisms for monitoring such negative externalities; (iii) propose improvements in the regulation of lobbying activity and in the Transparency Register

Policy Recommendations on fairer Industrial Relations practices and regulations in Platform Economy

Brief policy paper to favour fairer industrial relations in the platform economy, so as to support a more inclusive corporate growth

National Reports on the state of art of Industrial Relations in Platform Economy

The research will focus on infrastructural platforms as GAFAM, their penetration in local and regional labor markets, their employment practices, the labor conflicts in which they are directly or indirectly involved, as well the specificities of the regulatory contexts in which they move within the different national industrial relations systems. All the info collected will be summed up in 4 national reports.

Outlook report on scenarios and regulatory options to tackle platforms' infrastructural character

D2.3 will discuss whether platforms will become utilities or whether their dominance as private sector actors will be maintained throughout the 21st century. Basis will be a comparison between the evolution of EU competition law versus US antitrust law from the 2000s onwards.
