Deliverables
The project CORES will produce valuable scientific output that will be relevant for domestic and global strategic measures in agricultural management with a focus on GCC mitigation and adaptation. The results of this project will be in the scope of high-quality scientific journals and conferences. Next to these traditional scientific outlets, we will also strongly aim for communication with the general public and relevant stakeholders. The topic of CORES, focusing on agricultural management and climate, will spark attention from the broader public. Hence, we will make sure the main results of this project will reach a diverse range of audiences of stakeholders. The communication of the outlook and the results of the project will be initially organized with the outreach channels of UAntwerpen as the applicant elaborates the preliminary curriculum together with Prof. Vicca and the Office of Communication and Outreach of the Faculty of Science. The funding source and the MSCA project reference number will be referred in all communication actions. We anticipate that the project will produce three research publications together with a perspectives paper. The results will be presented at two international conferences, one specialized in nature-based C sequestration (Int. Conf. on Negative CO2 Emissions - negativeco2emissions2020.com), and one more generally covering diverse Earth Science topics (e.g., EGU annual meeting). A Communications Brief will be composed at the start and the end of the project to issue on the periodical UAntwerpen digital magazine. The fellow will give presentations to young students with the collaboration of UAntwerpen School Outreach Program to raise awareness on mitigation and adaptation efforts for GCC. He will also apply to the Sound of Science 2022 festival (soundofscience.be) to give a presentation to increase the communal outreach of the project. Finally, the results will be presented to the farmer communities and corporations as it will be of great interest to them to exert this basic method to obtain yield and soil health protection. A meeting with representatives of ILVO and the Flemish Farmer Association will be coordinated to signify the findings and the advantages of utilizing ESW for the environment.
Data management will be conducted in regard to the FAIR principles Findable Accessible Interoperable Reusable The protocols of the methodology that will be implemented throughout the project are systemic and established procedures that are frequently applied at the Faculty of Science of UAntwerpen and are accessible to everyone through publications or personal communication All the obtained data will be uploaded to open access data repository figshare figsharecom with detailed scientific descriptions and will be assigned DOI numbers to enhance accessibility and availability
