Data Management Plant (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)

Data standards: All data will be collected, anonymized, stored, managed, shared (appropriate anonymized data available through open access standards), and eventually disposed of according to:•The European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity, Revised Edition (2017), •The European Commission Ethics in Social Science and Humanities (05 July 2021), and •Norwegian centre for research data (NSD), and •The Tanzanian Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH).Informed consent: The project’s data collection includes engaging informed consent as described in the European Commission’s Guidance for Applicants: Informed Consent (Ethical Review in FP7). This means that all research participants are instructed in the best ethical practices of informed consent and provided with a printed copy of the research project information.Data collection and curation: There will be three anonymous surveys for each of the four target research groups. Surveys use Likert scale self-assessment to identify base understandings and then development of cognitive, affective, and behavioural changes in alignment with climate change mitigation praxis. Plans for collectivized data will ensure anonymity.1.Anonymous pre-learning surveys,2.Anonymous post-learning surveys, and 3.Anonymous six-month follow-up post-learning survey for a longitudinal analysis. The statistical analysis of the data using strategic quantitative research methods will identify the strongest outcomes from the four research groups, which informs best practices and resource allocation for applying research findings for optimal outcomes on a broader scale in the future.Paper surveys: All surveys are paper surveys and manually entered by the researcher into a secured database. Paper distribution is necessary in regions where there is limited Internet and/or computer access and limited computer skills.Data security: After prompt entry of paper survey results, the paper surveys will be either burned or shredded, depending upon resources in Tanzania. All digital files (which are anonymized) and back up files will be secured in password protected computers. Access is only available to the researcher.Shared data: The researcher and research institutions (VID and TUMa) ensure access to data is as open as possible, as closed as necessary, and where appropriate in line with the FAIR Principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Re-usable) for data management.•Access to appropriately shared research findings will be available in an open access website established for this project, that is easily accessible and searchable through rich meta data language that is broadly applicable language for knowledge representation.•The researcher will ensure transparency about how to access or make use of the data and research materials. •The researcher acknowledges that data is legitimate and citable products of research. Timeframe: Data is accessible for a reasonable period that is in alignment with the FAIR principles, and metadata available even after the reasonable period. This is in alignment with Wilkinson, Mark D. et al. “The FAIR Guiding Principles for scientific data management and stewardship.” (Open access, 15 March 2016). https://www.nature.com/articles/sdata201618.pdf
