BIRDSHADES BUSINESS MODEL VALIDATION AND IPR STRATEGY

Periodic Reporting for period 1 - BirdShades WomenTech (BIRDSHADES BUSINESS MODEL VALIDATION AND IPR STRATEGY)

Período documentado: 2022-06-01 hasta 2023-05-31

BirdShades has successfully developed a revolutionary new depp-tech window film for glass, which is invisible to the human eye, but highly visible for birds and therefore complies with architectural needs, as it does not change the appearance of glass to the human eye. Glass is a Must-Have in the modern building industry. However, birds can’t see glass and worldwide billions of birds die every year due to collisions with glass surfaces. Birds are in drastic decline around the globe, in the US there are 29% less birds compared to the 1970ies and in Europe common bird species have declined 39% since 1980. Hence, BirdShades is aligned with the Green Deal objectives by the EU.
BirdShades has the potential to become one of tomorrows cutting edge deep tech champions which protects biodiversity worldwide.
Before applying to the EU Women Tech grant BirdShades was confronted with challenges such as building a strong IPR Management and the founder was facing certain hurdles as female CEO and mother of a young child.
