Deliverables
Research results will be published in research journals throughout the project lifetime, first results are expected from m24.
Injector parameter space (opens in new window)Report, journal article or conference proceeding on results from simulation studies that demonstrate how parameter space to unlock pulse shaping and acceleration can be accessed.
Ultrashort pulse train generation (opens in new window)Report on results from theoretical/numerical studies into ultrashort pulse train generation using high power lasers. Optimum scheme has been identified (related milestone), findings will be summarized in report or journal paper.
Multicycle THz generation (opens in new window)A code to simulate multicycle THz pulse generation has ben developed and results will be summarized in a technical report.
Electron beam transport (opens in new window)A range of beam transport codes will be used for optimizing electron beam quality at the location of the undulator. A technical report on the results from this optimization will be published.
Minimization of jitter (opens in new window)Minimization of jitter in SPARC_LAB working points through study of main jitter sources in photo-injector, including phase noise of accelerating fields, photo-cathode and interaction laser arrival time, together with impact on beam arrival time using established PIC codes.
Low power measurements (opens in new window)Journal paper on low power proof-of-concept measurements.
Laser beam diagnostics (opens in new window)Optimum set of diagnostics for the full characterization of the laser has been identified. System will be described in report or journal paper.
X-band Single-Channel LLRF prototype (opens in new window)A fundamental X-band LLRF concept with optimum components will have been developed and a protoype will have been designed. The design will be summarized in a technical report.
Project initial brochure will be available online and in print, presenting the background of all Fellows and the overall research and training goals of the network.
Project web site (opens in new window)A website for the EuPRAXIA Doctoral Network will be available from the start of the project.
Project leaflet (opens in new window)A leaflet giving an overview of the network will be available online and in print.
EuPRAXIA-DN outreach video (opens in new window)EuPRAXIA-DN outreach video will be available after first skills school which will be organized between ULIV and C-DIGI. It will be made available via YouTube.
The generation of intense multicycle THz pulses has been demonstrated, initial results will be summarized in a technical report.
