Deliverables

1st Summer School

Summer School (4 days) covering challenges, state of the art and/or advanced methodologies, hands-on sessions with tutorials and talks by external leaders.1st SS will focus on glycan microarray technologies and glyco-bionformatics tools.

Online seminars of DCs

Online seminars of doctoral candidates (x3) will be organized by DCs to present their work to the GLYCOTwinning members, advisory board and external invited speakers.Planned dates: M12, M22 and M32

Brochure and reports for outreach activities

Planned outreach, communication and dissemination materials, scheduled for M17 and M36.These will include:1) A brochure about the GLYCOTwinning consortium (M8) to be distributed in outreach events (e.g. European Researchers’ Night) 2) A “GLYCOTwinning Scientific Café” organized on the occasion of the Annual Youth Week in Almada. 3) High-school visits to the GLYCOTwinning laboratories during Open days at FCT-NOVA. 4) Participation in informal meetings as “PubPhD de Lisboa”; 5) “Café with Patients” (just after the 2nd WTSS) a special session of effective Patient-centered communication.

GLYCOTwinning Newsletter

6-monthly newsletter, distributed online, to share: i) developments in Glycoscience fields, ii) results achieved by the consortium, iii) upcoming project events, iv) outcomes of past activities and v) researchers’ profile.

Joint Lab Retreats

Three joint lab retreats (M12, M24, M36) between NOVA researchers and partners group leaders. Will include scientific discussions, and brainstorming on the recent advances in glycochemistry, glycobiology and glycomics to boost new and transforming ideas in cancer and microbiome.

Annual WTSS

Workshops on Transferable and Soft Skills (WTSS) - Four 2-day workshops to be held by NOVA and the Consortium.Planned dates: M16, M24 and M36.
